Being YOU

Sometimes in life, you gotta follow your intuition.

I don't think life can be completely based in cold, hard logic. Of course, there are times when these are necessary (some would argue that this is necessary almost all the time). Sometimes, it is the same bull-headed cold logic needed to drive an idea to fruition that was based out of an intuitive initiative.

But, boy oh boy, there are times when you just need to let everything go and just follow your heart. It might seem foolish, it might seem idiotic. Trust me, nine times out of ten, in the near future you'll look back and smile at what a crazy thing you did.

But at least you did what you felt what you knew had to be done. And that is what matters.

And doing what you think is right is what ultimately matters. Not because a greater percentage of humanity doesn't believe in doing what others say is right. Not because there is an entire world out there ready to shout down your thoughts and opinions with their own. Not because the few people in your life who matter the most at times decide to step away when you are looking at them for support.

It matters because only when you follow your instinct, you know you've taken another step towards being YOU.

"Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become."

When you find yourself
In some far off place,
And it causes you To rethink some things.
You start to sense
That slowly you're becoming someone else
And then you find yourself.
We go though life So sure of where we're heading,
And then we wind up lost
And it's the best thing that could happen.
Sometimes when you lose your way
It's really just as well.
Because you find yourself;
Yeah that's when you find yourself.

Wow very interesting blog!! I am a kid in Kuwait and they are very racist to Indians. It's so sad! I'm from Palestine and I always tell them to stop! By the way if you want to know how I found this blog it is because my Social Studies teacher has a blog and I clicked "Next Blog". If you don't want me to comment just tell me! Btw (again) I'm only in 6th grade.

I kinda agree with what you are trying to say. But I am not gonna repent anything about my past. We have nothing to lose. So its high time we show some responsibilities for pursuits towards family, country and other higher ideals and give back to society what it has deserved for long. After all, as far as I know we all are people with highly EVOLVED values

Faisal Al-Zaben: Hi Faisal. Nice to hear from you. :) Sad to hear that there are racist attacks on Indians there.

Btw, I'm delighted that you've commented and would be even more glad if you continued reading my blog. :)

Siddharth: Hey Siddharth, completely agree with you. But even people with highly evolved values and dreams and aspirations which drive them more than it does the average human beings is after all, human. He/she has equal right to feel the joys and sorrows of life and he must do so, since that is what keeps him essentially human.

I'm not in the least advocating repenting / regretting whatever has happened. But yes, there are times when reflection on past actions is required.

And so the history will treat them as speck of dust. 50 years down the lane they will repent that the things they valued most in their life were mere animal instincts. Thats how devolution occurs.

Whenever you are stuck with options ... just toss a coin high in the air to decide which option to take ... before the coin falls on the ground ... you will know what your Heart truly wants ;)
